Wales YFC Field Day 2019

On Saturday 27th April the Wales YFC Field Day was held with Pembrokeshire Federation hosting the event at the County Showground, Haverfordwest. After a successful day of competing, Carmarthenshire YFC came joint first with the Radnor Federation.

Carmarthenshire’s Junior Stockman of the Year team won the Junior Stockman of the Year competition. Congratulations to Lewis Gibbin, St Clears YFC, Tomos Griffiths, St Ishmael YFC, Ryan Lee, Whitland YFC and Rosie Davies, Llannon YFC for representing the County in the competition.

Another success for the County was in the Cube Exhibition competition where Gwenann Jones, Angharad Thomas, Nia James, Cerys Thomas and Lowri Jones from Dyffryn Tywi YFC won first prize.

Carmarthenshire’s Senior Stockman of the Year team came second in the Senior Stockman of the Year competition. Congratulations to Elgan Thomas, Llanelli YFC, Anwen Jones, Llanllwni YFC, Ifan Williams and Caryl Howells, Llangadog YFC for representing the County in the competition. Congratulations also to Ioan Jones, Llanddarog YFC for coming second in the Sheepdog Trials competition.

Well done to Harri Millin, Callum Brown and Rhydian Walters from St Ishmael YFC for competing in the Senior Fencing competition and to Gethin Davies, Harri Ward and Dafydd Edwards of Llanddarog YFC for competing in the Junior Fencing competition. Well done to Aled Jones, Carwyn Lewis, Betsan Jones and Zac Addison from Llanllwni YFC for competing in the Farm Safety Skills competition and to Rhiannon Jones and William Davies from Dyffryn Tywi YFC for competing in the Junior Fferm Ffactor competition. Well done to Frazer Wyatt of St Clears YFC for competing in the Auctioneering competition.
