Carmarthenshire YFC members on Wales level

The Wales YFC National Eisteddfod was held at William Aston Hall, Wrexham on Saturday 30th November, hosted by Clwyd YFC. During the day, over 750 members from across Wales took part in the event.

All members competed in various competitions such as singing, recitation, and light entertainment items. The homework competitions were also judged before the day. There was also the Chair and Crown Ceremony during the day.

Clwyd YFC was the winning Federation at the end of the day to take the Mansel Charles Shield, with Eryri YFC second and Ceredigion YFC third, with Carmarthenshire YFC in sixth place. Congratulations and many thanks to all members who went up to Wrexham to represent the County.

Humurous Trio – Sioned, Ifor and Hefin, Llanllwni YFC – 1st
Solo under 21 – Owain Rowlands, Llanfynydd YFC – 2nd
Mixed Choir – Penybont YFC – 2nd
Vocal Ensemble – Capel Iwan YFC – 3rd
Recitation under 18 – Olwen Roberts, Penybont YFC – 3rd

Homework Competitions:

Limerick – Sioned Howells, Llanllwni YFC – 1st
Competition for members under 16 – Hywel Jones, Dyffryn Cothi YFC – 2nd

Craft – Siriol Richards, Llandeilo YFC – 2nd
Poem (Chair) – Ceri Davies, Dyffryn Cothi YFC – 3rd
