We returned to Llandeilo livestock Market for the Lamb trimming competition on the 6th of October 2022. It was lovely to see new faces taking part in this competition, and congratulations to Gilbert Roberts of Penybont YFC for winning first prize in the competition again this year.
The final evening was an evening of Chicken jointing training and competition which took place on 7th of October 2022. This time we travelled to Salem Hall, Llandeilo. How lovely was it to see the hall full once again with many new faces trying for the first time. I would like to congratulate Jac Davies from Vale of Towy YFC for scooping the first prize.
There was a lot of hard work ahead of our judges. Our thanks go out to them all for their service over the past three evenings. Thanks to Meinir Green for judging the Lamb trimming competition; Alun Richards and Geraint Rees for judging the senior and junior Butchers Lambs Stock judging competition; Owen Davies for providing all the members with Butchers Lambs stock judging training before they start their competition; and to Huw Davies for training and judging the chicken jointing competition.
A huge thank you & congratulations to all members for their effort and dedication over the past three evenings.
I would like to wish everyone the best of luck who’ll be representing the County at the Winter Fair Show in Builth Wells at the end of November.
